dated but functional
room phonetired exterior
The room lacked a phone so i had to use my mobile to contact reception. That was a real pain. breakfast was often chaotic. Hot food ran out quickly and there were long waits for refills. the exterior of the place looked quite tired. Peeling paint and a general lack of maintenance were obvious. this gave a poor first impression. the tvs were loud, disturbing the peace.

Fantastic Family Fun!

I appreciated the proximity to the town. It was very convenient. The on-site facilities were fantastic for young children. We had everything we needed. The room was also very well designed, especially with the bunk beds providing a separated space.
I found many spider webs in our room and the room was also very cold. We requested to be moved but the other room was similarly cold. The hotel staff said that they were fully booked and other guests had similar complaints.

The hotel is just a minute or two's walk to the town. It is very close to Rothiemurchus estate where quad biking and high ropes courses are available. Skiing is accessible in the Cairngorms.

Most activities were free which was really nice. My son loved what was offered. We ate at Aspire and Giovani's. Both restaurants were VERY good, and their prices matched what we got. The buffet breakfast was nice too!
I found the music from the bar quite loud until 10:30 PM. It wasn't ideal since I had booked the stay with a child.

The reception staff provided great service. They were really good at helping us. Staff were always friendly whenever we walked into or out of the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They seemed genuinely happy to help.

the family room suited our needs well it provided ample space and comfortable sleeping arrangements. the pool was a highlight for everyone it offered a refreshing and enjoyable experience. i found the breakfast to have many choices with attentive staff providing great service.
the corridor leading to my room had a slight musty odor.

the breakfast was amazing!!! it had a great choice and all was fresh. i had access to the swimming pool and soft play.
